Croatia
That’s a fact! When God created Croatia, He took into consideration that it would one day become the most proper place for opening the sails. No joke: just imagine all those small green beautiful islands, surrounded by crystal clear waters. Someone actually counted them and they have 1221 islands, islets and rocks. Sometimes, if you get lucky, your boat may actually be the only one located in that splendid bay and you can enjoy everything like it was made especially for you. Besides some amazing landscapes, Croatia is a plus when you take into consideration the entire infrastructure needed for sailing. A boat always needs some water and electricity, so it is important to know that you will find small or some big marinas where you have everything needed. British Virgin Islands
British Virgin Islands, you can easily understand some small pieces of Heaven down to Earth. Taking a holiday there without at least 2 days of sailing, it just doesn’t sound right. Nature with everything it has is just astonishing. The colours that BVI has to offer, we’ve probably haven’t seen them in some other places. There are not so many marinas like in Croatia but it will not affect you that much. The whole organizing of the trip is done differently so that you will have nothing to worry about, but enjoy the ride!
Thailand
Andaman sea is the word when it comes for some adventurous sailing. More than 10 years ago, there were not so many tourists, but it’s still a place of unspoiled nature. Depending on which geographical area you choose, there are some nice things to be seen. On the boat you need to be more careful with water and electricity and maybe some other provisioning because distances between islands are a bit different than in the first two places we’ve mentioned here. Greece
The country by the sea, coming from ancient times, with such a rich history, one of the most important touristic destinations in the world. We talk about a country with so many islands so that sailing becomes implicitly. Like in Croatia, the food is at its best and all those caves and stones, each one of them with famous legends will offer you a nice vacation time. There will also not be a hard task for your skipper to find a marina or some beautiful bays for anchoring. Add Greece to your sailing destination too, and ask for a local skipper so that you can have the best time discovering the islands.
Caribbean
Caribbean Islands, they are so vast and different. If you take as a starting point the French and Dutch Islands, let’s say Saint Martin, you will have some great opportunities to see a nice part of the Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean. When sailing the Ocean, you just need to know that it might be more unpredictable so your sailing routes might be changed often because of the weather. Of course it can happen sometimes on the Sea too. Underwater life is so coloured that even though you might not be a snorkelling or a diving lover, it will for sure lure you some how.
